Get Your Youth Group on Facebook

Slice the data any way you like, but the numbers don't lie: teenagers and Facebook are a match made in cyber-heaven.

According to the latest statistics from ROI World, teens spend an average of 2.2 hours online each day; and almost 80% of that time is spent on social networking sites.

The most popular social networking site is Facebook. And why not? Students can occupy themselves with uploading pics, staying current with Friday night plans, saying hi to distant relatives, and playing Farmville or Mafia Wars.

According to the Huffington Post, 400 million people log in to their Facebook profile each month, and 200 million people log in EVERYDAY.

All this to say, don't waste your time sending email to students - they don't use email because they're not adults!
Instead, you need to GET YOUR GROUP ON FACEBOOK.

It's not hard. It can be done in 5 easy steps:
1) sign up for a *FREE* Facebook account (if you don't already have one)
2) go to:
3) enter your group info
4) add a picture or logo
5) invite students to join

Set it up and leave your link below in the comments...I'd love to see what you've got going on!
